I am using the above photo to represent my character Nautia.
I do not claim the image above. I received permission from JLSTOCK to use the following image located here as a stock image in my literary art form roleplay. I did not design this character, this image is not mine. All rights reserved to JLStock found in the above link to Deviantart.
Name: Nautia
Derivation: Nautica - meaning: navigator of the sea.
Species: Human x Aycayía
Fish Sub-species: Green Terror x Blue Jack Dempsey
Voice: Example 1
Sex: Female
Age: 23
Length: 5'7"
Weight: 130lbs
Mother: Venilia [blue jack dempsey]
Father: Kraken [green terror]
Sisters: Thalassa and Anthemusa
Enemies: Werewolves, other green terror Aycayía, might slap other blue jack Dempsey Aycayía as well.. she does not fear humans.
Nautia's personality is greatly effected by the fish that birthed her. Knowing more about the fish that make up her lower half is important to those that want to approach her.
Green Terror: Green Terrors are very aggressive and should not be kept with their own kind - there is good reasoning behind their name. Terrors will kill other inhabitants when they begin to breed. Both parents will aggressively defend the young until the fry reach an age where the parents can't control them.
Blue Jack Dempsey: What is known now is that the blue variant fish grows somewhat smaller than the regular Dempsey and while still a territorial cichlid, they are less aggressive than the other. As well, since Nautia's colouring is more green, she carries the blue gene which she can pass on to her children which will result in her children becoming blue tailed IF she mates with a Dempsey.
Mermaid Qualifications
The following is old mythology of mermaids, Nautia is guilty of this behaviour (;
Mermaids are similar to Sirens because they can enchant sailors with a song. The difference is the song confuses the human and will often cause him to become distracted and jump ship or cause a shipwreck. It is said that mermaids (mermen are guilty of this too) will attempt to rescue a drowning human, sometimes in a most unfortunate mistake the human is strangled to death by the mermaid’s tail. Other times the mermaid will drag the human down to the Omayan Sea simply forgetting that humans cannot breathe underwater. Mermaids/Mermen are usually a bad omen because they can foretell disaster (or do they just provoke it?).
Nautia is a fruitful character. She will often count her breaths as she peeks above the surface to read the stars, there's tales in them. The constellations hold the power to tell of weather and of danger and Nautia can read the signs clearly. But mostly she has a great gut instinct and because she always frequents the surface she hears humans speaking, her star-gazing could just be a fluke.
She's a very elegant character, she enjoys singing to men as they ebb closer to the shores. Nautia often tries to lure humans into the water so that she can touch their dry skin, but most never fall for it.
Nautia is a protector of sea creatures and of humans (even if they don't know it). She will often get very aggressive towards anyone that shows harm towards the things she protects.
Nautia, although having a fleeting and flakey demeanour, she is very tactful and even diplomatic. She has a way of handling people that is professional and comforting.

All that is written above (concerning mythology) has been complied from several online websites and re-written in my own words.
The voice of this character sounds like "Lilia" from Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits.
Example 1: starts at 17 seconds in.
