Name: Unear (OO-near) M'dlaros
Alias: No.
Gender: Male
Race: Aycayía
Age: 28
Height: 5'8'' in length
Weight: Just below average
Appearance:
One look at the guy and even the most basic knowledge of fish would tell you he'd be the kind to rip the flesh off your bones. His eyes are golden and almost catlike, having a slightly long look to the pupils - not quite slits, but giving an uncomfortable similarity. His nose is thin and bony and his cheeks are a bit hollowed in, leading down to very thin lips. If these lips pull back to grin - which they often do - they reveal a top and bottom row of very small, numerous, and pointy teeth. Bald on top, his ears are slightly finned.
His upper body is lanky and wiry, wrapped in cords of tight-to-the-body muscle. His hands, though very capable of breaking apart many things, are left slightly vulnerable by long fingers.
His lower body is slightly thicker at the base than at his tail, which is thin and broad and works best as a rudder.
Skin Color:
Human half: A noticable tan with a slight hint of a green tinge.
Fish half: A dark jungle green on the back, merging into lighter shades of green toward his sides, which merge into a ruby path in the middle of his front.
Eye Color: Golden.
Hair Color: No hair.
Markings (tattoos etc): None.
Jewelry: None.
Clothing: None, unless he's on land (keep reading). Has been known to carry a spear.
History:
Unear is typical of his species in most every way. He was raised to typical parents, and was left to fend for himself at the appropriate time. Time and genetics had, however, given him the gift of a quick mind and exceptional hunting skills.
As he matured, he discovered a taste for land-walking meat. Over the years Unear has managed not only to be adept at drowning or otherwise killing animals that get too close to the shore but, in some cases, luring humanoid beings into the water to their doom.
In daily life, his profession has reflected some of this skill, in the retrieval and selling of two-leggers' items, ranging from trinkets to weaponry. Getting the items usually results from attacks/thefts on trading ships.
Unear's special skill, however, is "walking." When the weather is humid and the sun is starting to set, he'll occasionally pull himself out of the water and onto an old wheelchair that he was fortunate enough to... "find." Using a blanket to cover his scales and a shawl around his head and neck, he'll spend a few hours traveling the nearest roads - sometimes to go to markets for more items and two-legger food (a small addiction for him), and sometimes to lure an unsuspecting human back to the water.
Personality:
Kind of a dick. Relaxed and a little rough with his own species, completely hostile to any of the land-dwellers. He believes them to be diseased and knows that they're the reason a lot of trash ends up in the waters his species calls home.
Lives for cat-and-mouse and is nearly incapable of passing up a chance to insert a sarcastic quip into conversation. Generally easy-going and a little cocky, he can be quick to lose his sense of humor if he thinks he, his home, or any of his kind (who didn't deserve it) are in danger from the islanders.
