How much time had passed by unnoticed? A year, Two, Twenty, A century? Gabriel had lost track of time in his solitude, many of his human servants had passed on due to old age, all untouched by that sacred kiss. Those vampires within his castle were off fetching more from the forests below the rocky depths to live within his dungeons for feeding. There really wasn't much felt for them, they were livestock being cultivated. Those who questioned whether they truly wished to serve him were always the first to be devoured. Those loyalist left to convert more to him. A pale hand reached forward snapping up a rock and throwing it, sunburnt eyes watching it spiral in the air and disappear into the thick clouds. Another storm would be attacking his turf. Always storms, always being battered by snow storm, or hail. It was always so cold there. There was no warmth to be found in Castle Du' Vaden.
Gabriel ran those slender fingers through his long hair his free hand fingering the ornate handle of his daggers. He was curious on the activities among the others of his kind, those who lived on the more southern part of the land mass. Today he might just find out what they were up too... the attitudes that would be directed towards his sudden appearance. It had been too long since he had ever met those outside those stone walls. Pursing his lips he let out a low whistle. A few seconds darted in between as hooves began to pound on the icy rocks towards him. The White mare whinned at him as she galloped to his side. He placed a firm hand on her neck. He could feel the blood pulsing right beneath her skin, the heart pumping that delicious liquid.
He pounced upon Afra, wrapping his legs around her torso, straddling the Bashkir. Nudging her hips with his feet the horse galloped forward down the rugged path. Its use before had only been to drag those humans thinking of heading back to their homeland to the castle to be slaughtered and feasted upon. Now gray hooves pounded, breaking the ice that coated the ground. the horse cautiously but quickly made its way along the path. The wind sweeping by tugging at his loose clothing. The cold air went unnoticed. The thick clouds of breathe was carried away before it was even spotted. The heavy blade on his back bounced each time tapping him as the horse launched itself forward in powerful strides. Those cunning eyes noted the two cats following them, Fath and Asima.
His destination was really unknown. He wasn't sure which location he should travel to, to be able to interact with others. Who was likely to respond? A few popped into his head, but it had been a century since he had last even heard word from them. Perhaps the older rulers are deceased and a new one has taken its place. Or maybe there are some in hibernation. Those lips pulled downward into a slight frown at the thought. He wished he could socialize with the elders, those above his age he knew. Gabriel had paid any attention to the younger generations that had come into the world. Humans that may have transformed, newborn vampires. Bah the whole thing bothered him. At least members of his little community were either his age or older like Abaddon. They were hibernating.
He tightened his grip on the horse's mane pulling just a tiny bit. The snow white mare slowed down to a halt, a split in the rocky path, but going west and east, but both would lead into a forest and to a location of another community of Vampires. Fath and Asima prowled towards him their whiskers twitching, tails touching the gray slabs beneath their paws.
"I've always wanted to travel east."
A smile now present on that face, he pressed a hand on Afra's neck and she turned in the direction he wanted and trotted off down the path. His two cats following in sync with the large animal. Neither afraid of the other, they had after all grown up with each other. In the short time he had owned the animals he had developed some sentimental connection with them, a miniscule amount of caring and compassion for them. Gabriel let his gaze travel over spying the hidden walls of another fortress. Soon, he would be there.
